Hey Slackers Inc. fans!
Just wanted to make an announcement to let you guys know what's new here on the forum and give you an update on "Revenge of the Shadow Masters."
First of all, as you may have noticed, the forum now has a new look. Our wonderful Admin slaved tirelessly to code the cool side boxes so things are a little more accessable and it gives the forum a whole new feel. So if you happen to catch him online, be sure to thank him.
Secondly, for anyone who hasn't heard already, our first game "The Quest to Find the Dark Hills" is actually playable online now. It's been uploaded to the textadventures.co.uk website...and for the direct link, check out THIS thread. What does this mean? Well, it actually means a couple of things: anyone who doesn't have a "windows based OS" can play it now, if your firewall tries to block .exe files you don't have to worry about that AND you don't have to download it at all. It's still available for download on the official site though. Now, on that note, we've already gotten a couple of reviews regarding the game. If you want to see what others said, there's a thread for that...
Reviews from: textadventures.co.uk
Along with that, we've also acquired a new member or two to the Slackers Inc. forum family from textadventures.co.uk...so we'd like to extend a very warm welcome to those lovely people as well as anyone else who has been amazing enough to actually join us here.
Next topic of importance: A few interesting things to know. There's a thread for anyone who has played or plans on playing "The Quest to Find the Dark Hills." Basically it's an "insiders guide" to some of the hidden Easter Eggs and other awesome features the game has to offer so you may want to check that out.
...and, finally, progress on "Revenge of the Shadow Masters" has slowed down a little. Personally, I blame the "Creative and Technical Director"...er...wait....that's me. Seriously though, we're at a bit of a stand-by at the moment with the descriptions of places now that level one has been fully coded and sent out to the beta testers. If anyone has any ideas or input on what should be added (objects, people, puzzles, place descriptions, etc.) then please don't hesitate to send a PM to the admin or myself. You can also post ideas in the Pre-Demo Discussion thread we have going. We'd really appreciate ANY input you have.
Also, we wouldn't mind a couple more reliable beta testers who can dedicate a few solid hours to "Revenge of the Shadow Masters" so that we can get all the bugs out before the level 2 version is released...someday.
